How Digital Growth Journey collects, uses and protects your information.
Last updated: September 2026
Digital Growth Journey ("we", "us", "our") operates the website digitalgrowthjourney.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. We are based in London, United Kingdom, and comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, website, budget range and any message — when you complete our contact form or email us.
Where you tell us your company name, we use it to understand and respond to your business enquiry. Where you tell us your budget range, we use it to assess the service you're asking about, help prepare an appropriate response or quotation, and check whether your enquiry is within the services we currently offer. Providing a budget range does not result in automated acceptance or rejection of your enquiry, profiling, or any decision made solely by automated means with legal or similarly significant effects — a person reviews every enquiry.
The lawful basis for collecting and using this information is that it is necessary to take steps you have requested before entering into a contract with us, and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to genuine business enquiries. We keep this information in line with the periods set out in "Data retention" below.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request, to operate and improve our website and tools, to send you information you have asked for, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), to perform a contract with you, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business — balanced against your rights.
Cookies and local storage
We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies to track visitors. The site uses only the technical storage needed to make it work, such as a small amount of local browser storage used by the tools that load and display page content. You can control or clear this through your browser settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the site display. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Sharing your information and international transfers
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the site and deliver our services (for example, website hosting, database, and email delivery providers), and only as needed to provide their service. Some of these service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK personal information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required, such as reliance on adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data retention
If you contact us through the form but do not become a client, we normally keep your enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact with you, and then delete them securely, unless we have a lawful reason to keep them for longer.
If you become a client, your information moves into our client and contract records. We may keep contracts, accepted proposals, invoices, payment records and related accounting records for up to 6 years after the end of the relevant contract or accounting period, as needed for legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Not every piece of information we hold about a client is necessarily kept for the full 6 years.
Working files, account access and credentials, and any personal information we no longer need to provide a service, are deleted or returned when they are no longer required. If you have separately opted in to receive marketing emails from us, we keep that record until you withdraw consent, opt out, or it is no longer needed — and we keep a minimal record of your opt-out so we can respect it going forward. We may keep information for longer where reasonably necessary in connection with a complaint, dispute, suspected fraud or legal claim.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@digitalgrowthjourney.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
